Where can I ski around Vancouver, Canada, and which mountain do you recommend most? |
Travel Info Where can I ski around Vancouver, Canada, and which mountain do you recommend most? Travel Tips There are 3 "local mountains" (seymour, cypress and grouse) that are all within 30 mins of vancouver. Seymour tends to be the best for beginners, while Cypress and Grouse offer a better variety of runs. Another option, is Whistler Blackcomb, which is a 2-3 hour drive from vancouver, but is by far the best of all the mountains near vancouver. It is two mountains Whistler & Blackcomb, and is glacial, so it is always great conditions. It has the highest altitude of the mountains and it has the most and longest runs. New High Speed Lift Provides Access to Symphony Amphitheatre, one of the Most Spectacular High Alpine Areas Available in North America You can always go the the local mountians that are on the North Shore: Cypress, Grouse and Seymour. But if you want real skiing and a real mountain, then go to Whistler Blackcomb. I have friends from California come up to go there and visit me along the way (live in North Van). In fact, my brother is coming up from California and going to Whistler in two weeks and I am going to join him. |
