Apartment near PNE about 3 blocks from Burnaby,BC??? |
Travel Info I've someone replied to my question previously about apartment for rent in Vancouver,BC and the the person said that she and her husband rented a large 1 bedroom for $500 near the PNE about 3 blocks from BURNABY,BC.I don't quite get the area that she said "PNE" WHAT IS PNE???Can someone explain and give me more detail info on this.Thanks! Travel Tips That was me .... It's a basement suite of a private home, but about 950 sq ft. The PNE is the Pacific National Exhibition ... it's a landmark of sorts, as well as where they play the Vancouver Giants hockey matches, and have concerts, and an amusement park and horse race track. I know of a 3 bedroom upstairs suite apt in the area available right now in this area for $900. (Saw it on a sign two days ago). The area is decent, with apparently good schools ... my neighbors kids go to an elementary school here, and there is a private christian school and a small park. Sorry for not being clear .... was trying to differentiate from the downtown east side and east Vancouver ... downtown east side is definitely NOT where you want to be ... but once you get further east .... at least to nanaimo st, it starts getting to be a nicer area. for more info email me at pynkgold@aim.com Others Pacific National Exhibition - the Vancouver fair grounds. Also the Pacific Coliseum arena. Old home of the Vancouver Canucks, but now home of minor league Vancouver Giants. So, occasional concerts and other events.
