What's a good, inexpensive hotel in Vancouver BC? 50-70CAD? |
Travel Info Looking for a decent hotel for not too much money in Vancouver for one night preferably one I can book online, that charges around 50-70 CAD per night. Don't need a huge room or anything fancy, but close to down town would be nice. Travel Tips To find a hotel downtown that cheap will pretty much be impossible unless you stay on hastings. Do not stay on hastings. Might I suggest staying in an Accent Inns hotel. They have 2 locations (Burnaby and the Airport), shuttles to downtown, and you should be able to get it within your price range. (here is a little tip, you can almost always bargain a cheaper cost at a hotel if you ask - they never give the cheapest rate at first) http://www.accentinns.com/ Others Youth Hostel, in downtown some private rooms. 60 CAD ?? you'll be hard pressed find a hotel downtown for that cheap, unless you want to stay around Main and Hastings (and trust me you don't). Try the Sylvia, it's a neat little old hotel downtown. The rooms are old but it's quaint and nice. http://www.sylviahotel.com/ If you are not looking for refinement, luxury and extras I would recommend the Y.M.C.A. either on Burrard or on Beatty street. Plain, simple rooms but right smack in the middle of downtown. Coast hotel $79/night if you immediately book/non refundable 89 reg, its on SW Marine Drive(close to airport but its a very good hotel, very close to major bus hub |
