Welland and Thorold,Ontario Apartment rentals??? |
Travel Info Does anyone knows of a good area(s) where I can rent a 2 bedrooms apartment with reasonable rate (not more than $650) in Welland and Thorold,Ont that are close to Elementary schools for my kids(8 and 10 years old),one is Autistic(not a severe case).Also,in your own opinion which of the 2 cities:welland or thorold is cheaper in terms of living aprtment rentals,housing prices???Thanks!Please give detail info of the areas. Travel Tips You'll be very hard-pressed to find one for that low a rent. You can find one, but unless you luck out, it's not going to be in great shape. Thorold would be your better option....just because it's closer to everything and major bus lines easily accessible. The comparison in cost is fairly level. You may find cheaper homes/apts in Welland, but you'll find yourself travelling more because you've not got too awful much in Welland. Thorold, is on the border with St. Catharines and only 10 minutes from Niagara Falls...just makes life easier IMO. CHeck the St. Catharines Standard online classifieds and the Niagara Advance to see what ads are coming up. Welland...I don't like. It's a depressing area, I felt and reminded me more of American slums than any other place besides Hamilton's dirtiest places. Thorold seems to be more progressive. |
