yes - - they are on 24/7.. I would assume that is pretty much the case with any large towers / urban skyline ... even despite radar technology I would imagine it would be a hazard to air traffic if they were not.

as the other poster mentioned - we have a commuter train called "SkyTrain" that is not 24/7
No. It's turned off at 8 pm in the winter months, 10 pm during the summer.
