In the winter, all the ski runs are open. In the summer, many of the ski runs are converted to mountain bike trails and runs (there are a couple of kamikaze courses for mountain bikes - you ride the chairlift up and head straight down the run on your bike). In the backcountry, there is always some skiing available. There are also a couple of nice lakes in the Whistler area for water sports, or you can hike, climb, go on photo treks etc.etc.etc.
