How much money would it take to live a nice life per year in vz? |
Travel Info cia factbook has a number in it but really...how much a year does it take to retire in vz.. Travel Tips When I lived in Venezuela several years ago it was extremely cheap. I lived in Maracay, which is an industrial city, my wife and could go out for dinner, have a wonderful five course meal with drinks and wine and could not spend more than $15 including tip. The government have undergone a dramatic change, not for the best of their citizenry, so I am not sure just how conditions are there now. Their president is anti-american to an extreme, but I am not sure that this attitude has passed to the general populace. I absolutely loved my time there. I even wanted to retire there but my boss lady would not agree. At that time you could live like a king on around $1500 per month. Source(s): Expatriot worked and lived in Venezuela for five years Other Travel Tips It depends on what city you want to live in. Caracas is more expensive than most places, but I think 40k / year will give you a nice life there. Modified 11 months ago In Caracas it will be $22,000 to $34,000 per year. It also depends on what ubication of Caracas, and counting feeding etc. If you have foreign currency man, you just don't have to worry. For $40,000 a year you'll live pretty much as a king. The minimun salary in the country is around $200 and there are entire families that live on a lot less. It pretty much depends on what your style is. People that make in Venezuela $20,000 a year are pretty lucky and tend to live very well, without complaining. Things are usually cheaper than in the States, but lately maybe no so much! Political and economical crisis have done their share. However, here are some venezuela prizes, so you can compare: - McDonald's quarter pounder combo: Bs. 11,000 ------ That's $4.38 - A brand new Jeep Cherokee (full equipped, best of the best) Bs. 100,000,000 ------ That's $40,000 What you have to have in mind is that in Venezuela most people is not middle class, like in the US. In Venezuela most of the population belongs to the bottom classes. (Venezuelas socio-economic figure is the Piramid and not the Diamond, like it is in the States. There are little people with a lot of money, and a huge lot with very little). You can find everything you have in the states (shopping, stores, franchises), and even prettier things. Caracas has the best weather in the world, all year round, and is the greenest most beautiful thing you'll see (of course, take away the horrible traffic jams that tend to stress every rush hour). Venezuela is a country of contrast in every way: economy is no exception. Goodluck! With the socialist government taking more stregnth is anyone going to be "rich"? |
