Here are a few: - Visit "Avila M谩gica", at the top of the Avila Mountain (Cerro el 谩vila) in Caracas. You can see the whole city from there, and the sea, and the Humbolt Hotel (a 50's hotel that is now closed). You can also eat really yummy and ice skate. And you can go up by land of usen the "telef茅rico". - Visit Galip谩n: a little town also at the Avila Mountain, with restaurants, nice landscapes and flowers! - Visit Colonia Tovar: It is not in Caracas, it's near Caracas. It's a German Town with everything german (houses, food) and very nice produces. - Visit "El Hatillo", a small little town in Caracas, with a beautiful historic center, stores and restaurants Tehre are also other things to do if you do not like "little towns" (I just realized that's all I've been numbering). - If you like shopping visit the Sambil Mall. It's Latin America's largest shopping center and you can find everything. - You can do a historic walk through Caracas' downtown and see - among others - the Caracas Cathedral, Sim贸n Bol铆var's house and even the Act of Indepence. (Do this accompanied by somebody you know and that knows town. Do not carry valuables) - You can listen to the president on his Sunday Morning TV show. Really. It something interesting and that says a lot about Venezuela's current situation, wheter you like him or not. - Go to the beach! At La Guaira or Higuerote (not in Caracas, but near enough) - Eat Venezuelan food! I recomend "El Budare" for a tipical and very informal Venezuelan style meal. And Arepas!!!! (Get those!) And Cachapas!!! - Visit the Campus of the Universidad Central de Venezuela. A declared World Heritage by UNESCO. Don't miss the Aula Magna, which is the theater with the world's 5th better acoustic and its beautiful "Flying Clouds" by Alexander Calder. ... That's what comes to mind right know.
