Dialect of Margarita Island, Puerto La Cruz? |
Travel Info Is the dialect on Margarita Island different than in the rest of Venezuela? I heard they talk differently and it's not a true Venezuelan accent. What about Puerto La Cruz; that's an area with normal Venezuelan dialect and they use t煤, not vos, right? Travel Tips is not really a different dialect just a different accent like california agains new york or london against manchester. Others Yes they use Tu, Vos is only use at Zulia, at the west. ANd Dialect, not at all, just spanish all over the country, at margarita some locals use to speak a little faster, but u wont notice de difference Venezuelan There is not a different dialect in the island of Margarita. The accent is different though. People along the coast are much more informal in there manner of speaking, and some of the colloquialisms are different as compared to, let's say, Merida in Los Andes. "Vos" is generally not used in Venezuela. The formal "you" is: Usted (Ud.), with the informal being "Tu". heeeeeeeeeey i was born in margarita-porlamar but now i live in puerto la cruz-paseo colon its true that in margarita they have different accent maybe since its a touristic island so they talk with mixed accents i dont know most say the way they talk is not nice but whatever and here in puerto la cruz they use tu not vos but they mostly use vos in zulia There is no dialect in Venezuela. The difference between Margarita accent and Caracas accent is the same as NY accent and southern accent in the US. But it is still the same spanish. Vos is used only in Maracaibo, but it is not that frequent. I'm venezuelan. |
