SHould I book here or over there? Travel Tips Right now there are a lot of student protests going on so be careful. The only ferry's go to the island of margarita and you have to take them at the Guaira (state of Vargas) or in puerto la Cruz (state of Anzuategui) not in Caracas. In Caracas you should go to the Museo de Bellas Artes, the museo de arte contempor谩neo, the Teresa Carre帽o Theater and the Ataneo (all these are close by). La plaza Bolivar at the center of Caracas (be careful it's not a safe place for tourists) this is near the el museo Sacro and the house of Sim贸n Bol铆var. The Universidad Central de Venezuela which is patrimony by UNESCO La Quinta Anauco in San Bernardino this is another area that isn't safe. You should walk through the Avenida Fransisco de Miranda in Chacao. 脕vila M谩gica: Here take a ride in the "telesf茅rico" up to the top of the 脕vila Mountain where there is the best view of the city and of the sea.
