There is only one boat as far as I know which goes from Burano to Murano. Burano is much farther out than the other islands but is worth looking at. The houses are painted pretty colours. The boats are quite regular so you just wait at the jetty - it is a very small island. Enjoy!
Take the DM line. The ride lasts about 45 mins. There are no busses... it's all island jumping.
