Attractions... several: Schonnbrunn palace Hofburg palace Kaertner strasse Stephansplatz Stadtpark Donauturm Prater Opera house Spanish riding school And tonnnns of museums.... ask anyone Shopping areas: Mariahilfer strasse Donauzentrum Eating areas: Anywhere in the 1st district (town center) Hotels: anywhere and everywhere ------------------- Austria as a whole: Must be seens: - Salzburg Ice caves The city Mondsee (one of the hundreds of beautiful lakes in the area) Mozart's birthplace Mirabelle gardens Sound of music tour - Innsbruck The alps The city Swarovski factory Rent a bike for a day and ride outside the town Source(s): austrian Other Travel Tips PLACES -cultural nodes and nature resorts bansal Conspicius has made a good listing; For shopping areas, I can add some more good places: Millenium City Ringstrassengallerie K盲rntnerstrasse Graben Eating Areas: depending on the price level; very pricy but goooood ;o) - some of the best restaurants in Europe if not the World: Le Ciel (Restaurant in Grand Hotel), Korso (Restaurant Hotel Bristol), Steirereck (Restaurant in the Stadtpark); Very good but still not cheap: Indochine 21 (French-Vietnamese cuisine); Much cheaper and affordable places (this would be more for students): Steman (6th district), Selbstverst盲ndlich (9th district) and many more.
