In Ho Chi Minh is it okay to walk into hotel without prior booking?

Travel Info
I mean mini 2 star hotel.

Travel Tips
Yes you can walk in but it is ill advised, I stay often at the Hyatt and Sheraton and they are always booked full. You can try the Caravelle Hotel, Rex Hotel and there is one more beside the Hyatt but forgot the name, these would be your better choices in District 1. The district you are wanting to go to to see the Saigon Square and the Tax Department Shopping Building is in District 1. Source(s): Self - Frequent Visitor
Other Travel Tips
Yes, it is usually fine to walk in just before noon at Phan Ngu Lao in District 1 to look for your accommodation. Do not be too late in the afternoon, when you stand a lower chance.
Yes of course.
Aside from during Tet, and right around the Christmas/New Year period, getting a room in a mini-hotel in Dist. 1 is really easy. The Pham Ngu Lao area is the area with the most of these sorts of hotels and in my experience you can pretty much walk into ANY of them and have a room in about 5 minutes.

Generally, there is an oversupply of these sorts of rooms in this district so you will even be able to inspect a few different places before deciding on one.
Been there a few times.
yes u can .
