Can i charge my stuff tht was made in the u.s in vietnam or do i need a converter? |
Travel Info I was thinking of bring my ds and my ipod Travel Tips Vietnam uses 220-240V / 50Hz. If the device does not say it can handle this voltage then do not plug it into an outlet there. Most laptops are able to use these voltages but if the device has for example INPUT: 100-120V ~ 50-60Hz then you do need an adaptor. These are usually purchasable at most US airports. Others I think you had better get a converter. I use one when we visit there. They are 220 and we are 110AC. You can purchase one at Walmart in the luggage section or Radio Shack. The last time I checked they were cheaper at Walmart. Good and enjoy your trip. We will be back in Vn in 24 days, ya. Vietnam uses 220v. If your equipment is 110/220 then you do not need a converter. And most places you don't even need an adapter for the outlet. However, would be wise to have at least an adapter. In any case EVERYTHING is cheaper in VN and you can find ANYTHING there (especially if you're staying in HCM). Enjoy the trip! |
