Can you make a visa at the border?How long and how much? |
Travel Info I head that we can make our visa for Laos or Cambodia when we leave Vietnam. I intend to take Open Bus of Trekking Travel company offered by Hanoi Youth hotel. But there is one thing I am wondering that it is cheaper to make the visa at the border than at the travel agent. But if they do not make, then I meet trouble. So if you sure about this, please tell me what would happen there. Thanks alot. Travel Tips Yes, you can make a visa at the border for Laos or Cambodia when you leave Vietnam. It's cost 25USD for Cambodia Visa and probably same for Laos Visa and they can issue within 1 hour (depend on No. of traveler). I had done it before when we leave from Saigon to Phnompenh (Cambodia). If you want to make sure, you can check direct with the travel co. where you plan to buy the ticket. Nowadays, a bunch of people travel around Southeast Asia and not all of them make visa before departure. Have a good trip! This will save your cost as travel agent will get some money for their service charge. But I recommend you to arrange the Visa in advance in Hanoi to save your time at the border gate.
