Actually, Vietnam is in an area of fairly high risk for earthquakes, and two quakes with a magnitude 6.7 or higher were recorded Vietnam in the 20th century, with many minor quakes as well. I have lived here {nha trang} for 2 years,its a very safe country,i have never heard of any earthquakes.The only dangerous thing is the roads,try to avoid long distance bus travel,trains are safe.Saying that a bus drove into a moving train 2 weeks ago and 16 people died. Sory to be a doommonger Vietnam is lovely,its just i see alot of young backpackers risking there lives to save a few dollars by traveling by bus.

vietnam was not in the mouth of earthquake,i live in vietnam my whole life i never seen or heard one,but like 2 years ago we got some shake but minus,i think it was effect from indonesia,because down there is the volcano of earthquake though
