Any nice beach near ho chi minh?

i am going to ho chi minh in early august and was wondering if anyone can suggest a short itinerary for a 5-day trip around ho chi minh including a nice beach. i don't intend on traveling too far from ho chi minh! thanks for any answer!

Travel Tips

There are beaches along the river but you don't really want to go there. The best beaches that are relativly close are about 4 hours away by bus or car. Mui Ne and Phan Thiet. this is a great little town that is very clean and seems to have a lot of space. The whole area is fresh and laidback with kind of an understated atmosphere. Definitely your best bet for close to HCMC. The beachs at Hoi an are wonderful and many people swear by Nha Trang. take your pick. Source(s): live in vietnam

Yes, Go to Mui Ne, a nice beach with many resort. You can also enjoy your time at the famous dunes. Don't forget your camera.

Other beaches near Saigon are Vung Tau ( have one one resort and many hotels ) and Long Hai ( two resorts only ).

u can go to VungTau ( about 120km from Ho Chi Minh city, this is a sea city that has many nice beach )
or Phan Thiet ( bout 150km from HCM city. )
