you can shop for nothing there, state-owned departmental stores are near empty except for basics and shopping areas are segregated by products per street, eg. one street full of plasticware next to another street with toys....

Enjoy the sights there, you may be able to pick up some local handicrafts but that's about all.

Lots of imitations products also.

man ,there are some great things to buy in ha noi... i especialy like the "stich"art.. you can get a much better price in ha noi than sai gon...
