Travel Info Im going to vietnam and cambodia on holiday for a few days do i need a visa, if yes how do i get one? Travel Tips You do need a visa for both of these countries. Vietnam has a pretty fast turnaround time, especially if you collect in person from the Embassy in London. It costs about 拢38. http://www.vietnamembassy.org.uk/consula... http://www.expedia.co.uk/daily/wg/p44531... For Cambodia, you can apparently get visa on arrival. It costs US$22. http://www.expedia.co.uk/daily/wg/p40270... Or you can apply through: http://www.theschengenoffice.com/... Both are valid for 30 days. Others You will need to contact the consulate for each country and get their requirements. Visas can take up to 6 weeks for some countries. You may be able to expedite the process by contacting Your local government office (U.S.). I am not sure how the process works from other countries, but it is probably similar. Do you already have a passport? The passport office may already have some of the forms you need. all you need is 2 dalla hi you have to call the embassy, look it up on the web yes you do need a visa, got to your travel agent and they will arrange them for you, If you don't have a visa when going to the country, they will make you wait in a long line while to check up on you. went to vietnam and thailand last year Ok, basically this is the norm. I dont know where you are but most of us fly into Babkgkok as a hub. from there you can obtain a visa at the Cambodian embassy good for 30 days. It takes only a couple of days to obtain. I am assuming you are a westerner from a richer country. Americans/Canadians/Brits etc. The visa is $25 US but these days $1000-1200 Thai bhat is the norm also. It varies. See any Lonelyplanet guidebook or see the website. As for the Vietnam visa I got one in 2-3 days two years ago while in Bangkok. There was a fee of $50 or so I dont remember exactly. For the Vietnam visa you have to specify the time frame you are planning to be in the country. If you go to Vietnam from Bangkok by air, and travel through the country for example, you can use a land border cross into Cambodia (southerm border from Saigon) without a pre-visit to the embassy. See Talesofasia website. Of course you can visit these embasies in your country but they may not be near or convenient to you, so Bangkok for a few days makes it easy and convenient. Both countries are easily accessible from here. |
