Does anyone know the best way to find someone in Vietnam? |
Travel Info I am looking for my biological father. I have a name, but Vietnamese names are all similar. Travel Tips If you have some of the following information, it would help: * place of birth * date of birth * relatives' names * names of other children Then the best place to get help with this is go to the Vietnamese government and submit a request to search for relatives. It might be slow, but it is the best route to obtain official information. The next best bet is to try posting your ads on Vietnamese newspapers, especially near or in the cities your father lived. Someone there will certainly spot your ads and recognize whom you are looking for. Things like nicknames, etc., will help here. Others i wish i knew that, i love there women! XD go to VN and put it on newspaper. Someone will see it and contact you. There is one way you can find your father in vietnam and that is through the teachers at the temples who served the different villages as people from the villages allways went to ask the monks for prays and some of these monks have very good memories and a lot of the records of vietnamese people where destroyed during the war in vietnam .First ask for an old map of the provinces then work out what villages where in the provinces as a lot of villages where wiped off the face of the earth .Each province has clan history and allways ask the old poeple of vietnam as they know better than the government on where things and people are in vietnam.Good luck i've been successfull finding american for vietnames.. i've never tried the other way around but if you have a complete name, last known address [ name of a small village will do], and perhaps a photo.. i'd give it a try for you. The best way to find someone is to advertize on TV ( HTV, VTV )and Newspapers ( as Tuoi Tre, Thanh Nien.. |
