Travel Tips I was also a refugee in Galang, though I was more fortunate of settling in USA after my one-year stay in Galang. In your case, your return to Vietnam was part of an agreement between the Vietnam government and the international relief/refugee agency, with compensation for the Vietnam government. My guess is that the agreement has no clause for you to settle in USA. So you might not have any option there, unfortunately. Others im a refugee too!! There was a program for the ex-refugee around 1995-1997 who has family oversea... But I dont think there is any program like that anymore now. Va^~n con` con duo`ng hy vong.
