How are the shelters like in Vietnam?

Travel Info
Anyone been there? How are the houses/apartments? How is the elsectricity and the waters? Are the houses in good conditions or not? If you'd rate the shelter problem as major/minor/none, which one would you rate?

Travel Tips
I'm currently renting a house on Bach Dang Street in Hoan Kiem District of Hanoi. It's four stories and six bedrooms. The newer houses here are built incredibly strong. There's what's called a war standard that the newer construction is desgned to. I don't know the specifics, but I can tell you that the house I'm in could probably survive a close bomb impact.

Tap water is available most everywhere, but it is not pottable. You need to have a regular supply of bottled water or boild water all the time.

Electricity is available at 220 vac 50 hz using Asian style plugs for the most part. This is important to know, because some electronics brought from the U.S. will fry when plugged in here.

Perhaps the best part of housing in Vietnam is it's incredibly cheap. I'm paying $400/month to rent this house.

Ask if you want to know more. Source(s): Currently in Hanoi, Vietnam

Houses and Apartments in the city are much like in Europe. Small, Clean and in good repair. Electricity is almost everywhere in the country. I think the shelter problem is no problem. Vietnam is a very up and coming country, growing very fast. cheers
