October through April or better yet, December through March. It's the dry season there so you'll avoid being rained on almost daily as in the other months (and I mean really rained on!).

The temperature will be more pleasant as well with the Northern third being on the cool side (45 deg. to 65 deg but it could drop down to near freezing sometimes in the extreme North during the depth of winter). In the South, it ll be cooler than usual but still warm by our standard (65 to 85 deg.)

Go and enjoy. I've never been in any country in Europe, Asia or the Americas that have such wonderful combination of beautiful sights; friendly, honest and helpful people (to all visitors, Americans included); clean and orderly society, low crimes, gentle climate, great food (greatest this side of heaven as one American famous Chef and food critic put it) plus reasonable prices.

there is alot of fruits
spring cuz they celebrate chinese new year, and i really fun tho
during christmas break when the weather isn't as hot and humid.....or the BEST would be to visit during Vietnamese New Years which is around late january, febuary, or march, depending on the year. This would be the best time because it is the beginning of spring, and people are really festive and the markets are filled with the fresh aroma of flowers and cakes. This is the best time of year in Vietnam.

but winters have cheap tickets and it's not so hot.
