Travel Info i was told you are the go to guy for this question. i would like to do some volunteer work in ben tre province or my tho city on my next visit. specifically, i am looking for plans, written in vietnamese, for a solar distillation unit. nothing large, just able to provide about 10 or 20 liters a day so that our neighbors and family can have better drinking water. other than that, i am a carpenter, my wife lives in ben tre, and i have a little free time on my hands when i visit. any ideas? Travel Tips cam on " ban khong co mat" [lol]. i've been through my tho, and i am in construction myself. but this sounds like a pretty "lofty project " you cut out for yourself , certainly beyond my humble expertease.. but you "shoot for the stars" something good will happen. you might try to find the plans in english then get them translated... if this is a unit for a single family .. i see this as a do-able project.. but if your going to have to deal w/ government and public offiials for a community project.. this is gonna take more than "a little free time". anytime i have something even modestly big to do i recuite ALL the local help i can to do the "leg work".. i almost never get the planned results but i DO get acceptable results... that seems to be the vietnamese way.. you gotta go w/ the flow... "aim for the best, expect the worst, and except antyhing inbetween". an old army saying...ong chuc ban suc khoe, thanh cong va hanh phuc trong nam moi va suot doi...oh yeah .., and get a face lol ! ask about the plans in another catigory.. that may lead you in the right dirrection.
