Are there many cash-only businesses on St. John, USVI?

Travel Info
Trying to plan my trip and want to know if most places take credit cards.

Travel Tips
taxis and busses..if you can find one....are cash only. $50.00 wont get you far on a taxi or tour on St John!

The ferries over from ST T might take plastic but I've never seen it......

and as was said there are ATMS and most businesses with roofs take cards...... Source(s): 35 years in the Virgins
Other Travel Tips
Most shops do BUT you need money for the open air markets and roadside stands as well as tips. Just bring about $50 in singles and you should be good.
Some businesses cash and some card; just make sure you have both so then you can buy whatever you want.
There are banks and ATMs on the island. Most businesses take credit cards. You'll need cash if you want to tour the island. JMO -- I think you'll want more than $50 but you can always walk into town to get more cash.
