American citizens can freely travel and work in the U.S.V.I. Social Security cards are needed, passports are a good idea, other identification papers like drivers license and a birth certificate should be carried. Well, the actual moving would be a bit more trouble and more expensive, but you do not need a passport or permission to move there...so it is similar to moving to another state. I believe it is very expensive to live there. Would be a good idea to do a web search and learn all you can...and contact real estate agents there to get idea of cost of living. I was born there and personally ~ i think it would be easier but now u need a passport for everything and you may need a passport to go down there ~ and its not that easy but don't be close minded and be open to new ideas ~ we do not have everything that people in the states have ~ don't make fun of the accents or anything ~ and for the record we are americans too |
