Best US Virgin Islands?

What is the best US Virgin Island to visit? Any suggestions on "must see" items/activities? We are looking for something with activities, scenery, fun, beach and very peaceful. Any suggestions on where to stay? Resorts?

Having lived in the VI for many years, I would recommend you try to visit them all. St. Thomas is very nice and could be a central point for excursions to the other islands. There is a seaplane service that goes daily to St.Croix. This is a fun experience since they take off and land right in the harbor.

There are ferry boats that go to St. John and Tortola (British Virgin Islands) so you can take a day trip to the other islands, or stay on one of them for a while.

St John has camping, as well as world-class luxury resorts.

Must see really depends on what you like. If you scuba dive or have considered it (you can take lessons there) there are many dive boat operators that will rent you all the equipment you need. This is some of the most beautiful diving in the world, with crystal clear waters, reefs, colorful fish, and beautfiful weather. Camping in St John can be very peaceful. Visiting Virgin Gorda in the BVI to see the Baths is probably another must if you like natural beauty. http://www.b-v-i.com/virgingorda/default...

The most spectacular way to see the VI is to charter a sail boat. There are many available. You can get bareboat charters where you do the sailing, or can get boats with a crew. There are also day sails available. I used to provision some of these charters and many are first class with food and drink provided!
