What is the best U.S. island to go to.? |
Travel Info My sister and I are going to take my daught and her friendon vacation for their graduation. They were thinking the Bahanmas. Travel Tips The Bahamas, as previously stated, are not a U.S. territory. That being said, I'd say the best U.S. island destination would be St. John, USVI. Great beaches, great snorkeling, great hiking, great geographical location to check out the other U.S. virgin islands as well as the British (if you wish). AND, you don't have to deal with exchanging your money or needing a passport and all of that (unless of course you do decide to go to the BVI). Definitely the most tranquil island I've ever been to and I've been to over a dozen Caribbean islands. It should be noted however that accomodations and expenses on St. John are extremely expensive but if you can swing it, I highly recommend it. You will not regret it.
