If your retired move to the USVI, if your still working, FL. Good paying jobs are rear in the USVI unless you are a go getter. If you are retired though, living expenses are really cheap especially if you outright own your property. FL offers worse weather but better paying jobs.

my friend lives in sarasota. its a pretty nice area, and naples almost never gets hit by hurricanes. but FL is a tourist trap and sucks to live in year-round. Id go w/ the virgin Islands personally.
