Do i need a passport to travel to st.john, usvi? |
Travel Info Do i need a passport to travel to st.john, usvi? Travel Tips Zita's info is totally incorrect. You don t need a passport to go to St John, but as you clear customs and immigration in St Thomas before returning to the States, you do need a passport..Most countries you clear immigration when you arrive back in the US..But not from the USVI.. Contact State Department to see if they will accept any other forms of ID...Also, Bermuda and Jamaica are not connected to the US in any way.. And incidentally, the reason one clears Immigration in the Islands is that there are so many illegals there that to find out when they arrive in the US and have to send them back is too expensive and time consuming.. Others no. see: http://travel.state.gov/travel/tips/broc... and http://www.usvi.net/ Not, if you are a U.S. citizen. No, St. John is part of Virgin Islands U.S. teritory. Also the Bermudas, Jamaica and Puerto Rico. There's also Islands in the Pacific that are U.S. teritory. To find out all possible destinations that are U.S. teritory, you can check with a travel agency. |
