Has anyone stayed at the Mariott Frenchman Reef at St.Thomas USVI?? |
Travel Info Has anyone stayed at the Mariott Frenchman Reef at St.Thomas USVI?? Travel Tips I stayed there last October for my Honeymoon, the grounds are beautiful and they have lots of tours and activities you can schedule directly through the hotel. The restaurants were good, not great but good. And the beach was gorgeous (but Magen's Bay is better). I would definetly reccommend Frenchman's Reef, it's one of the best deals on the island. However in response to above the Ritz Carlton is nicer (and a lot more expensive too). Others I am from St.Thomas. The Marriott @ Frenchman's Reef is really nice. It is one of the best hotels that you can stay in. Youw won't have any issues with finding taxi drivers because they are there all the time. I definitely recommend that you abstain from driving. Driving in St.Thomas is really hard! I haven't stayed there myself but I've seen it and I've also heard that it's one of the nicest hotels on the Island.. even nicer than the Ritz-Carlton. we stayed there a week last year. it is not convenient to where activities are. The Redhook area is a better location. we also felt safer in the redhook area. Redhook is on the east side of the island. We are planning to go back this July. Can't wait. Kokie beach is a must as well as the break-a-way tour to bvi. People are not very nice in st. thomas, so make a game of it to see how long you have to suck up to get them to warm up to you! I have stayed at The Frenchman's Reef several times, love it there!! I have to say that the women on the island are very rude and nasty, especially if you are a nice looking woman...i think they are that way cuz the men on the island love the mainland women and give them alot of attention. |
