Are there high speed ferries operating between Puerto Rico and St Thomas ? |
Travel Info The flight costs around $180 RT between San Juan and St Thomas island, however the sea transportation can be cheaper. Please suggest web sites or travel agency in Puerto Rico for trip to St Thomas for 2 days of stay. Travel Tips Transportation Services has one that runs to Fajardo. One way for $60, round trip for $100. It leaves twice a month Friday mid-afternoon and returns on Sunday. Total travel time of 2 hours. They include free transportation to Condado. Advanced purchase is required. You can call them at (340) 776-6282. Others To my knowledge, there arent any. Occasionally the Lady Caroline runs ferries between Fajardo and the waterfront on STT. You can find the schedule on their webpage but I would call to confirm, since they might run less trips during the summer. I think it runs around $80, and unfortunately takes about two hours. http://www.bluewatermaritime.com/modules... never was never will be takr the plane!! Did you check caribbean sun? http://www.flycsa.com they usually have cheaper flights (around $125RT) than American. I would reccommend flying over the boat. because as far as I know, the boat leaves STT on Every other Friday and it doesn't go to San Juan it goes to Fajardo on the east end of PR and it returns to STT on Sunday. The boat costs about $100 RT traveling over open seas, which can be rough this time of year during hurricane season. It makes more sense to spend a little extra and take a 30 minute flight. There isnt any. You will have to stick to a flight . |
