Other Beache suggestions for St. Thomas besides Megans Bay? |
Travel Info We will be stopping at the island for a day during our Southern Caribbean cruise and I want to hear some thoughts on beaches that people have been to. We were here once before and went to Magens Bay for the day. It was wonderful! Are there any other beaches that offer the same beauty but fewer crowds? Our ship is the largest of the Royal Caribbean鈥檚 (3500 people), so I imagine the beach will fill up quickly. Travel Tips St. Thomas has about 44 Beaches. Some of the best less crowded ones are: Hull Bay on the north side is usually deserted and you will probably be the only one there. However, it is kind of rocky and the waves are choppy. Sapphire Beach, on the NE side is usually less crowded toward the left side of the beach. Secret harbor beach, on the east end, is usually less crowded; as is the Ritz Beach, also on the East end with good views of st. john, is less crowded this time of year. And on the South side, Bolongo,Bluebeard, and Morning Star beaches are lighty visited. But in my opinion, The water of the Southside beaches tend to be less clear and colder than the Nortern or Eastern beaches. But to answer your question about crowdedness, Magen's and Coki Beaches tend to be the most crowded. Source(s): http://www.vinow.com/stthomas/beaches_st...
