Anybody knows an internet page wich rents beach houses in tropical islands, for a reasonable price a month? |
Travel Info I am interested in renting a simple 'shack' on the beach in an isolated spot on some tropical island. I am just one modest person therefore am not asking for any villas or luxurius houses. And a modest price would be welcome for such a house. Am interested in any island... Travel Tips Well if you're looking for anything like that on St. Thomas you might be out of luck. St. Thomas usually deals in big hotels. One hotel that might interest you is Bolongo Bay. It's an affordable hotel for being close to a beach. Your best bet would be St. John. The Cinnamon Bay Campground has that sort of stuff and the cottages are very affordable. I also recommend looking into the neighboring islands of Tortola and Jost Van Dyke. I am crazy about the British Virgin Islands. Perhaps you'd consider staying at a boutique hotel? If you're down for a month, you could spend a week making friends and get hooked up that way. The Sandcastle Hotel on Jost Van Dyke has the vibe I think you might be looking for (six cottages right on one of the most crazy beautiful beaches in the world). Check it out. Also, I have some friends in Bonaire, in the Netherlands Antilles. I'll email them to see if they know of any shacks for rent. Bonaire is a good spot to visit during hurricane season as it is south of the hurricane belt.
