What are the seasons in the Caribbean and when are they? |
Travel Info What are the seasons in the Caribbean and when are they? Travel Tips DRY SEASON = December - May WET (HURRICAN) SEASON = June - November Others They are spring, summer, winter and fall. And they happen in spring, summer, winter and fall. Only two seasons in the tropics: winter and hurricane. Hurricane season lasts from June 30 to November 1 or so, with the most storms in late September or October. See http://www.nhc.noaa.gov for more info. Winter is very rare: you may get a "cold snap" anytime between December 20th or so through February 5, where the temps drop into the 60s and the 30s at night. I live in South Florida. well in Puerto Rico wich is near we have spring (march April and may) Summer(June July and august) fall(Sept.Oct. and November) and winter(December January and Feb.) the only difference is that the temperatures don't change as drastically as other places our temps are around 90-100 F in the summer to 73-90 in winter . The temp. does not change much because they have a tropical climate!!! We live in Barbados and there is the dry season and wet season. dry / tourist season runs from Dec 15 to April 15..... The rest is - in theory - wet. But recent years this has not been the case. As every where else in the workd, climate change is making a mark. Our temp is 82 degrees.......................... June 1 to November 30 hurricane season: lots of rain and hurricanes and chilly in the nights.most hurricane happen in September.January to February is cool the rest of it breezy and warm or hot. usually around 28 degrees when hot and higher |
