Does anyone know the laws for transporting human ashes into the British Virgin Islands?

Travel Info
My husband and I will be traveling to St. Thomas from Alabama then boarding a chartered boat and sailing into the British Virgin Islands to scatter his mother's ashes atop a small mountain on one of the British Virgin Islands (a place he and his mother had visited in the past). Once we board the charter boat in St. Thomas we will have to go through customs before the boat sails from the US Virgin Islands into the British Virgin Islands. We need to know what, if any laws there are pertaining to the transport and scattering of her ashes. Will we need any paperwork, permits, etc... to get her ashes from Mobile, Alabama to St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands? Will we need any paperwork, permits, etc... to get past customs in the British Virgin Islands? And finally, will we need permission, paperwork, permits, etc... pertaining to the actual act of scattering them in the British Virgin Islands? Any help on this is much appreciated.

Travel Tips
It is advisable to get a permit from the consulate of British Virgin Islands before embarking on the journey! Also, make sure the container containing the ashes is sealed by the consulate! May her soul rest in peace!

If it's their dying wish then maybe do it secretly just to ensure it gets done.
The British do have several laws pertaining to cases such as your some are as old as parliment its self but what you exactally have to do I am not sure. Try looking up laws that might pertain to that at the web adress listed below. Good Luck in your adventure.

Try going to the U.S. Customs website http://www.customs.ustreas.gov/xp/cgov/h... and from there call them and they will def get you intouch with the proper authorities in the British Virgin Islands to answer your questions. Here is a number in Washington D.C. to call with general Inquiries (202) 354-1000. Should help.
