Any places to live as a long term resident of Jamaica and other carribean islands, for moderate prices? |
Travel Info without checking these yahoo, real estate sites, are there, where are there places to liive houses apts to rent in Jamaica and other carribean islands for moderate prices under a thousad dollars including utilities Travel Tips St Croix is the most reasonable to live on than any of the other U.S. or British Virgin Islands but you have less around you as far as ferry services, shopping and other islands to visit. St Thomas is also relatively reasonable compared to St John, Tortola or Virgin Gorda. I have been wanting to relocate myself and have been researching prices. Each year I go back and get more and more information. I also learned that as an American citizen, we can only spend a maximum of 6 months or 182 days total on any BVI per year. Good luck!! Others You can find houses, but if you are not born there or do not get citisenship you will need to get work permits which cost several thousand US dollars a year. Also the cost of gas, food and other esentials is more there so your average expenses will go up. Born and raised in Jamaica |
