St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands? |
Travel Info I've heard that St. Thomas is dirty and unsafe. Is this true? Can anyone give me any suggestions about where to stay, things to do, where we can rent scooters? Any info would help. Travel Tips It is safe in the daytime but not a place to venture out alone at night. The island is remarkably clean compared to other islands. Scooters can be rented in Charlotte Amalie. Driving is on the left side. Look into renting a private villa. You have your own house and private pool. Hit the beaches, take a ferry ride to St. John and snorkel there, shop in Charlotte Amalie. Others visited there on a cruise. the people were wonderful. had a cab driver give us a tour. told us about all the pirate history. absolutely beautiful. There are a couple of scooter rental stores. They are not going to have websites that you can look at. Once you get to St Thomas anyone will be able to give your thier names and phone #'s. As far as things to do...
