Bahamas Vs Barbados?

it is my boyfriends b-day and I want to take him away, Should we go to barbados or the bahamas?

you should take him to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Especially the Grenadines. White sandy beaches, loverly people, great diving, brilliant food. And if you get tired of sun, sea and sand, you can go to the main island of Saint Vincent, for Black sandy beaches, volcanos (active and inactive), rock pools, Pine forests, jungles, parrots, good company, nice people, great food, hard liquour, as well as the best beer in the Caribbean.

Barbadoes? Bahamas? Doesn't even come near SVG.

I say Barbados........Bahamas is nice for like a mini vacation. But Barbados is a special occasion trip.
well bahamas is for people whp want to relax on the beach and from all the stress barbados is expensive, and full of history not to much goin on and also when u want to relax .... but u can come to Nevis u will like http://www.nevisisland.com
They are totally different destinations and it will also depend on what time of year you want to go as to what is happening. BTW There are always something happening in Barbados:0)
Also, Barbados is more Caribbean than the Bahamas and quite a different climate being below the Tropic of Cancer.
Their both good choices, I don't think you would be disappointed with either choice....

My choice is Barbados. Lovely people. Very friendly. Great food and beautiful beaches.
Don't know what your budget is, that may be a factor in choice. I think Bahamas may be cheaper depending on where your flying from.

Have a fun vacation where ever you choose.
I would suggest Barbados because the Bahamas get all of the cruise ship and short term tourists' traffic. Barbados is much further away and has some great beaches. Then you can also tour the Malibu Rum factory and get some samples.
