Has anyone ever stayed at the Hotel Harrington in Washington, DC? |
Travel Info If you have or know of this hotel could you give me details such as is it clean and in a good location? Also is it a safe neighborhood? What about parking?? The prices seem to be really low for Washington and it make me curious if something is wrong? Travel Tips We were in DC for the first time this past summer. We stayed at Hotel Harrington. Believe me, it is not fancy, but it is a block off of Pennsylvania Ave. Within walking distance to the National Mall, the White House, The Washington Monument, The Lincoln Memorial, and most of the Smithsonian museums. It is a well lit area at night and only two blocks from the subway station. They have a breakfast buffet every morning and a bar called Harry's that serves pretty good food 'til around 1:00am with room delivery. Ford's theater, a Hard Rock Cafe, and ESPNZone are all only a walk away. For the money I'd say you couldn't beat this place. It's old but clean and comfortable. You're not going to spend much time in your room anyway except for sleeping. They have a parking garage reserved for guests about 5 blocks away but, trust me, once you park you will probably not need to move your car until you leave. The Metro (subway) is the best way to get around! Others http://www.tripadvisor.com/hotel_review-... |
