What is the best FM station for VA/DC/MD region? |
Travel Info What is the best FM station? I just got a Belkin TuneFM and I travel alot through these states. Its annoying to change the tuner while driving. Also does anyone who has this model hear a slight high pitch noise, usually when accelerating, when using the device? If so, how do you get rid of it? Travel Tips You'll want to try something in the lower bands of the FM dial like 87.9 through 91.9 or so. You may have to switch from time to time because sometimes those low frequencies are used for broadcast of traffic or community information in towns that you travel through but for the most you should be able to stick to one and not have to move around too often. Others depends on the type of music you like. Try 99.5 or 101.1 well when i went there i had to find new stations...one was like 101.1 the other one in the 99 and another in the 103 or 105 range...idk i deleted them off my favorites on my mp3 player 99.5 Well that is really going to depend on what kind of music you like. I've lived here for almost 25 years and this area has always been notoriously bad as far as radio varieity. But the situation is getting better. Here are my suggestions. Washington, DC Classic Rock: 94.7 Rock 101.1 "Adult Rock" 97.1 Pop/Variety 92.5 (this is out in the shenandoah valley, so you might not be able to get it, depending on where you are. Variety: 104.1 (this is a brand new station that just started about 3 days ago. So far, it's pretty good) Variety: 107.3 News: 103.5 Jazz: 105.9 Talk: 106.7 Pop: 99.5 Baltimore: (I don't know the stations as well, but there are a few good ones you can get in DC and through most of Maryland) Rock: 97.9 Pop/variety: 102.7 Hope this helps. If you're looking for a good variety, little talk and very few commercials, go with 102.7 or 104.1. 1.5 to 2 hours in the car each day listening to radio. 99.5 or 93.9 |
