Living in DC and taking the subway to the Patent Office? |
Travel Info If I move to DC, what is the best way to get to the patent office via public transportation? The quicker and more dependable the route, the better. It could be that i take the subway and walk .6 mi (I walk 1 mile to work presently) to the building . the address is 600 Dulany St, Alexandria, VA 22314. Is it to take the subway to 400 Eisenhower Avenue, Alexandria, VA and walk? And what is rent for a no frills single guy in dc? Travel Tips There are nice apartments walking distance (within 1 mile) from the USPTO. You could also ride a bike. On those days when it rains or it is icy you could walk. The USPTO has a gym and places to lock your bike. Why not visit the USPTO sometime? Since you are an agent, why not schedule a trip and do some in-person interviews. The suggestion to live in Alexandria is odd. The USPTO is _in_ Alexandria. It is a short walk from a Metro station. You can research rents online. Good luck! -Steve Source(s): 15 years of experience as an intellectual property attorney. Other Travel Tips I'm not really sure what your question is but the public transportation in DC is great. That stop looks close to the building. I'm not that familiar with Alexandria, but I think that is a safe area to walk through. Btw, in DC the subway is called the metro. If you want to work at the patent office, you should consider living in Alexandria. It's a very nice place to live, and your commute will be much easier. Also you'll find the cost of living in Virginia is much lower than in D.C. Taxes are much lower, car insurance is lower, and you could find a nice place to live within walking distance of the PTO. I live in Alexandria, Virginia. |
