If you live in Baltimore or near there?

Travel Info
I'm going to be visiting Baltimore for three days in the summer and I'm too cheap to rent a hotel room for two nights (please don't laugh at me- i'm still a youngen!) so I'm trying to think of an alternative. So far all I've got is camping. Anyone know of a park I could hide out in '_^ Or maybe...some sort of camp ground that isn't so very far away? And, I assume that there's like a bus system that I can use to get around places in the city, right? An idea about how much it costs one way to ride somewhere on a bus? Any info is appreciated, and any other alternate ideas as well. (Perhaps I should come visit YOU and we'll hang out! ^_^) Thanks!

Travel Tips
Sorry, I live more in the DC area. I'm not sure you could find a campground anywhere near Baltimore. You could maybe stay way out of town at a campground, but then you'd be using your money and time taking train/bus/cab into town.

I was thinking maybe a hostel, but there seems to be only one. My other option would be a cheap chain restaurant.

The hostel is called Charm City and runs $23 a night, possibly a slightly sketchy setup: http://www.hostelz.com/hostel/34968-char...

You can get a Motel 6 for $50/night, but I don't know if it's on a bus line: Baltimore West #1098
I-695 at Security Boulevard/SR 122, Exit #17
Baltimore, MD 21207

i don't know any campsites in baltimore maybe you can try looking for a motel. That may be cheaper. but I do know that it costs 1.60 to ride the bus one way and 3.50 for a day pass that you can use to ride the bus, light-rail or metro all day.
I vistied there a couple of times.
Don't put money before your safety. Save more money before you make the trip.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO In Baltimore you do not want to hang out in parks. First, it is sooooo dangerous. Lots of druggies, shootings, etc. Plus you will be locked up.

There is a public bus system and the metro.

Just because you are a "youngin' doesn't mean you have to be stupid!!! Save your money for hotel, food, travel and use your common sense.
Patapsco Valley State Park has camp grounds and is not far from the Baltimore City line. It's located on the West side off of Rt. 40 near Ellicott City.
I live right by baltimore. I've lived there too. No campgrounds nearby. If your going to baltimore you wouldn't want to camp. My suggestion is a hotel. Some run farely cheap but your going to get what you pay for. I'd try looking around in glenburnie for some motels. then you can take the bus to the city and explore the harbor and everything else my wonderful city has to offer
