What are the best/cheapest mobile and Internet services in greater DC area?

For mobile phones, I really like Verizon. It's reasonably priced (not the cheapest, but not ridiculously expensive). Also, I get service EVERYWHERE...even underground on the metro.
Internet service is a little tougher. Comcast has a bit of a monopoly on the area. The internet is priced a little above average, but not much and it's quick. They definitely serve everywhere for internet and cable, and other companies are only starting to come into the area. I've heard some areas have Cox and Verizon as internet providers, but you'd have to check with the specific company as to whether or not they serve your town/community. |
