Who can tour the white house in d.c.?

Travel Tips
You can't get full tours (aka you won't see where the president lives) but you can see the "rooms" such as the green room, yellow room, etc. by requesting them from your Senator.

Before making a tour request, please note:

Requests can only be submitted for parties of 10 or more people. (If your party does not meet the criteria that the White House requires, please indicate the days and times that you are available. We will keep a record and let you know if we are able to coordinate with other constituents to meet the required number of 10 or more.)
The White House receives a very large volume of requests. In order to increase your chances of receiving a tour, we recommend making yourself available on as many days as possible. The greater your flexibility, the greater your chance of participating in a tour.
Tours are typically 45 minutes in length and are scheduled Tuesday through Saturday between 7:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
Tours of the White House are scheduled by the White House Visitors Center no sooner than four weeks before the requested tour date. As soon as our office receives notification of your tour request or denial we will update your party of its status.
Once the request is submitted, the number of people allowed on the tour cannot be changed.
If a tour request is accepted, security information must be submitted by our office no later than two weeks before the requested tour date. This includes the full name, Social Security number, date of birth, and city, state of birth and residence of EACH member of the group.
Please note that tour schedules are always dependent on official events taking place in the White House. Occasionally, it may be necessary to deviate from the regular tour schedule, or reschedule a tour.
Please understand that tour request acceptance or denial is solely at the discretion of the White House Visitors Center.
