Where to live near DC? |
Travel Info Where is the best place to live if you are going to be working at the DC Airport? We are looking for a nice location, preferably Subdivision homes in a nice neighborhood and where you can get the most for your money? Will the commute be horrible drive from this location? Travel Tips I aussume you are talking about Reagan National Airport in DC? If that is the case, Alexandria or Arlington VA would be great options. Someone above mentioned Silver Spring, but crime rates are higher in Silver Spring. Bethesda is nice but a home will cost you a bundle and you will be looking at a long commute either by Metro or by car. If you are talking about Dulles Airport then I would look at Ashburn, Reston or Sterling VA. Ashburn and Sterling are more affordable options as they are farther out from downtown DC. Commutes will be minimal in both cases. Source(s): I'm a DC Metro suburbanite. Other Travel Tips I just love Silver Spring, Maryland. It has tree-lined streets, small, older but very nice houses on large lots, and has a Metro stop, so you could take the subway to work. Silver Spring, MD is the best place I can think of. look in Alexandria, Virginia. Nice place, on the metro line, far enough away without being too far away Bethesda MD. Love it! close to everything!
