You went to Washington and didn't get to see the National Zoo?!?! We have a pair of pandas on display who are sort of DC rock stars...they have a pandacam and everything.

The pandas - Mei Xiang and Tian Tian along with Tai Shan (their baby) are the stars of DC.
Because of Tai Shan. He was the first panda to be born at the National Zoo, so it was a big deal. People are still queuing up to see him and he's two years old now!

There are a ton of panda souvenirs because the panda bears that are at the National Zoo are some of the only panda bears in the US. You should definitely go see them.
