Travel Info Which beach do you go to in the summer? Rehoboth Beach, DE Bethany Beach, DE Ocean City, MD or other Travel Tips Rehoboth is more artsy than Bethany - there's more to do in Rehboboth, but it's more expensive. (Rehoboth is also more gay friendly). Bethany is more family oriented, and there are almost no hotels - you have to rent a house or a condo. OC used to be a lot more hotels, and it still has quite a few, but there are more and more condos coming on the market. There's more to do there than in Bethany, but it's also more crowded, especially during certain weeks like HS senior week and Bike week. You'll definitely want to check for activities before you head down there because you'll end up paying $200 a night for a divey motel. Personally, I prefer the beaches on the Outer Banks. Others We've only lived here in MD for a couple of years and we've been to Ocean CIty once, Rhehoboth once, and Atlantic City once. I liked Rhehoboth best, but all of those places are kind of smelly when compared to some of the Florida beaches I like. |
