Utilities in the DC area? |
Travel Info I will be moving soon to the DC area and am debating on renting an apt with utilities included or go with a cheaper apt that does not include utilities. How much do people in the DC area spend on utilities? Which area do you live in paying those utilities? Travel Tips Obviously it depends on how big a place you get and what you do there but I had a one bedroom apt in Arlington. Water was included, everything else was electric. Over the last year my electric bill ranged from $60-100 depending on the month (spring/fall lowest, summer/winter most expensive). Others I'd go with the apartment with utilities included. I doubt you'd find an apartment where you pay the water bill - that usually is always included in the rent, no matter what (if you rent a condo unit, it's probably included in the owner's condo fee). However, I have rented in places where the electric is and isn't included, and it's probably cheaper to go with the utilities included. I can't speak for gas bills because I don't have gas now and the last place I was at (where I paid utilties) was all electric. I personally think it's a better deal to include utilties with the rent. I live in Montgomery County some apt. does include utilities check apartment guide web site if you have not book your reservation as yet go to http://www.thelowestprice.globaltravel.c... for hotel stay, vacation, cruise, car rental, call 1866-865-269 Please do not get utilities included. You'll die in the summer, from cheap landlords not sending you enough cool air. |
