Washington, D.C.?

Going to visit Washington, D.C. in July.
Any suggestion for a campground with full hook-ups....water, electricity etc..? Preferably within 10-15 miles from the city. Your suggestions are greatly appreciated.

That's going to be hard to find. Generally the campgrounds are pretty far out from DC (20 miles or more).

Washington DC and the surrounding areas expensive and real estate is at a premium, especially right now with the gentrification going on. People pay a lot of money to live less than 20 miles away from the city and Campgrounds take up a lot of space. Since they aren't nearly as profitable is an apartment complex or condos most of the campgrounds are located about 30 miles out in Maryland or Virginia.

I would suggest hwww.duncansfamilycampground.c... Really that's the only one I know of that's less than 30 miles from the city. DC is pretty affordable for tourism because most of the tourist attractions are free. Consider getting a tourist standard hotel, like the Hotel Harrington in Penn Quarter.
